Help needed diagnosing cause of loss of power when hooked to tow vehicle.

Update: I will post pix when I'm done but here is what has happened and it's worth telling. LOL. I bought some romex wire and was getting ready to run it out there, 100 ft. In the process of that, I pulled up the old wire that was just laying on top of the ground. And to my surprise, it came up...

Help needed diagnosing cause of loss of power when hooked to tow vehicle.

That's what it was. Battery was dead. I took another friend's word on that and he was wrong. Battery tested fine, took a charge and hooked up to truck, all is well. :) Thanks!

Help needed diagnosing cause of loss of power when hooked to tow vehicle.

It works, everything is alright now....I think. Here this is a case of taking somebody elses word on something. The battery was dead, I knew that but forgot to put that in original post. I guess it just ran down over time with no charge coming from the house. Anyways, a buddy told me that the...

Help needed diagnosing cause of loss of power when hooked to tow vehicle.

**Not sure which forum this needs to go into, so mods please move wherever you think is appropriate and where it'll get seen. Hi forum! Not sure how to ask this: Bottom line is I don't have any power in my trailer right now. 2009 North Trail 28BHS had LONG 10 or 12 gauge extension ran to it to...

Tire changing help needed for new NT owner "nanaearth"

I would say get the four way lug wrench and it'll be on there. I have one, but I don't know what size it is. I've asked a resource and maybe he can tell me soon and I'll post it here. And always get the jack on the frame, not the axle. Use a wood piece between the jack and the frame to prevent...

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/HEALTH/conditions/02/14/fema.trailers.ap/ I haven't experienced warm weather in our new North Trail yet. I don't know how the formaldehyde odor will be. When we first bought our Outback, on the first warm day it was baaad. I mean really bad. I mean you simply...

Assembly pictures INSIDE North Trail factory

Edmonton, those pix are of a 28BH model...the toyhauler like Medic has. It has the bed that pulls out. Good observations about the unit. Yes...North Trail is thinking ahead. I was thinking ahead as well. That's why we bought the North Trail. I like people that think ahead.

Ours has a sort of scooped out area to pull out. Although it pulls out easily, I'll think about that handle, probably not a bad addon. Probably a wider handle makes for a more steady pullout.

Assembly pictures INSIDE North Trail factory

Hey everyone, before I bought our 28BHS, my dealer sent me these factory pix. I thought you'd enjoy seeing them. In these pix, you can see several details that make the quality of a Heartland North Trail stand out apart from the rest. Enjoy, Mark

    Calling all North Trail owners

Defeated Creek is one of the best campgrounds in Tennessee. You will really enjoy your trip there. We camped there with a group in 06 and it was too hot to make a fire. We contemplated putting a block of ice in a ring and sitting around to watch it melt. LOL. Somehow, it didn't seem the same. It...

    Calling all North Trail owners

Where do you live, what model North Trail do you own and what are you camping plans this year? We live in Jackson, Tennessee...(yes, home of the recent tornadoes) We are planning, tentatively, a trip north and east this year. We covered the west last year. Our kids will be 12 and 15 this...

Hi Jennifer! You and your family are going to LOOOVE that camper. Yes, sitting up beds is a drag. You've come thru the normal succession of camping junkies in a veyr short time: tent, etc. We get ragged by some saying "that isn't camping" when they see our trailer. I tell em, "I CAN camp in a...

    Black tank Hose

Hi Marty. Yes, they did place a holder under the front street-side of the North Trail. It's a white pvc setup with a twist on cap. I believe some are using it and some are using a separate box stored in the storage area. Welcome!

    Thule Smart RV

That is an awesome system. I am looking at it for a table next to the front door. That is ONE thing that I will sorely miss about our Outback. First thing I did was flip that built in cook center down and I had a work area to setup the trailer out of. I mean, the reality is that when you camp...

The BIG handles by the front door....

I was going to post this in the North Trail area, but it is relevant to all trailers. When we first bought our North Trail I saw that HUGE safety handle by the entrance door and thought "wow, I'm not that pitiful..yet." That's a huge handle. Nicely made, albeit. And it folds comfortably down...

Oh yea, cranked on first pull. Noise level? Well, I don't have a "meter". I do have friends with ears who came over and said he was VERRRYYY surprised at how quiet it was. Quiet?
