We've seen some unusual pets on the road. I think the oddest is a goat! They were in a converted school bus and when he converted it he built a "stable" in the rear for the goat. They also had dogs & cats. Can't imagine the smell inside it!!!

Michael, November & December in MO can be kind of iffy as far as freezing temps. Unless St. Louis gets colder weather than KC. We go to ND. (30 miles S. of the Canadian border) every year for the sugar beet harvest. On our way home now. This year we had more below freezing temps than ever...

Whenever I take mine out, I'll clean up the threads with a small wire brush, then use teflon tape, or plumbers seal on the threads. Don't think you really need either one, but it helps it go in easier. Sometimes they can be a booger to get the threads aligned, you've just got to keep at it...

Glad you found your issue! One thing to think about is a product called UNIQUE (LINK), it's a "green" product and does a great job. We've been using it for several years & now when I dump the black tank all that comes out is colored water-no solids. We've even started using the same TP we use...

We've got a 2011 Elk Ridge, and are still getting sawdust mainly inside the light fixtures & we've got over 40,000 miles on it. I'm thinking it's fairly common through all the brands.

I think the problem is that you've absorbed too much radiation through the years. Have you tried sitting across the room, then thinking about what channel you want without using the remote? :D:D

We had wet bolts installed on our rig at the Goshen rally in 2011. So far (knock on wood), haven't had any issues I'll lube & torque them every year. Last time I was thinking I probably need to check them to see if they need to be replaced.

We are going to try to make it, hopefully things will have settled down by then. It's been in the 90's with high humidity here in KC for the past week or so!!!

With our 2500 Ram, pulling a 30' Elk Ridge, the Cummins gets anywhere from 9-12 MPG, depending on the terrain, and wind.

Re: 2019 - Goshen Rally - Children's Program As far as the nature program, I'd contact the conservation department (or whatever they call it in Indiana). I'm sure they would have some ideas that would help out. Possibly have someone come out & put on a program, or maybe there is a nature area...

Hi Larry, Sally & I will be there, made our reservations the other day. Will be arriving on 08-13 and leaving on 08-20. Also would like to be on the Budweiser tour. Sally & Gayle talked a day or 2 ago, so Lord willing, & the crick don't rise we'll be there!

Yes Billy, it was another great rally in Mountain View! Sibling Rivalry was AWESOME, plus they seemed like great kids! Looking forward to our next visit/rally to Mountain View!

I doubt it, at least anything like at the Goshen rally. I'm sure there are some people in town that do it, you'd probably have to talk to them in the office to see, and make your own arrangements.

Just to CYA, I'd keep that piece you cut out, along with the email you got from Heartland for as long as you own your rig. Never know if it'll be needed in the future for a claim, or whatever.

Orville, & Barbara, like everyone else we really enjoyed ourselves, at our second Oakie rally. Great seeing old friends & meeting new ones. We really liked the Mexican buffet also!!!! BTW, whoever made the Mexican corn on the cob...it was AWESOME! Roy & Sally

I agree, I feel the glow steps are more versatile, and don't like the idea of having the steps folded up inside the rig, thought it would bring dirt, mud, & rain water inside the camper.

Our rig is a 2011, and has the original battery, in 2012 I added a second battery, and it's still being used. And when I added the second battery, I didn't buy two batteries, just bought one & added it with the original one. I've noticed lately that they seem not to last as long as I think...

Not too long after we got our rig in 2011, I started getting a leak in the basement. Finally got it isolated to the outside shower. As we had never used it, & didn't think we ever would, I got shutoff valves and installed them on the back of the UDC. Stopped the problem, & haven't had a leak...
