    Camping in the Rain!

Rockaway is north of Tillamook as is Cannon Beach with the big Haystack rock formation...both fun places! Just a quick note Bruce, WA HOC members Tom and Jan are host camping at Oceanview in Charleston, OR near North Bend...quite a bit south but one of the few parks right on the ocean. Wish we...

    Hows Your Weather?

Never hear that from me! :) Wish we could send you some of ours! Looks like another "wet pattern" with several weeks of steady rain. AccuWeather says 2.5 inches in the next day or so and NOAA has coastal flood warnings (something about tides).

Built in black water tank flush

I tried it once, didn't seem to work and was too lazy to get behind the shower wall to replace the check valve. I prefer to use a simple backflush (Flush-King) which has always served us well with every rig we have had.

    Keeping the Bugs Off

This is an accurate comment. I am an advocate of Rejex and have used it for many years on our BC, my bike, and my dads Cherokee. It is a sealer that requires a clean surface before application. From the Rejex FAQ's Will RejeX help clean my vehicle? RejeX is not a cleaner. It is important to...

Maintaince for slides on 2008 BC 3250TS?

I don't think there is much maintenance with slides as long as they are working and in alignment. I check the hydraulic fluid and look for leaks, keep the rails clean and the wipes clean etc. The floor delaminating was an issue with some of the earlier models HERE is a thread that discusses a...

    Bulkhead Inspection Hole

Can anyone think of a downside to cutting a hole in the bulkhead around the pinbox and installing a DECKPLATE or two? I really would like to be able to look up inside this area that can't be seen from the storage bay to check welds, moisture etc.

    Elusive Bulkhead Leak!

    Winterizing 2008 Big Country 3250TS

Just finished doing our Big Country yesterday. I can share our process but a 2008 may not be exactly the same! First I drained the water tank remembering to open the check valve first! Drained the fresh water. Holding tanks were already empty. At the UDC I switch the water bypass valves to...

    Roof Repair?

If decide to buy a roll Best Materials has very reasonable prices compared to most RV dealers. I believe the 4" x 50' roll is $55.00. Great service too. When you apply be sure to use some type of roller (I had a wall-paper seam roller that worked) over the tape. Good Luck!

    Elusive Bulkhead Leak!

Interesting observation! Thanks for getting back to me. As soon as I am 100% on the condensation theory I will rest a bit easier. I do seem to get a bit more moisture when it rains. Currently the cardboard/filon? piece remains dry with water only showing in that channel molding. Last fall when...

Damp/Wet Tool Box Area in Front Storage Compartment

UDC = Universal Docking Station. This is where (on most models) all the outlets, tank valves, winterizing valves etc. are located. You may have to remove the basement walls to get behind the UDC to check things out. That being said, our storage area also leaked when traveling during rainy...

A Little More Room Beside Bed

The plastic/vinyl trick works good. I personally would not want the bathroom or closets any smaller. The 3450 works great for us although queen bed option might provide more room for walking around the bed.

Elusive Bulkhead Leak! I continue to ponder this issue I was wondering...I don't seem to get much more than say 1/8 of a cup of water if that out the end of the molding. It has not rained in 24+ hours and was crystal clear this morning. Everything was soaking wet with condensation/dew and, low and behold, got...

    Elusive Bulkhead Leak!

I checked into the Seal Tech process last year...a shop just one mile down the road does this. It was a little more than I wanted to spend at the time and they also expressed the challenge of trying to pressurize the front cap and cargo area since it is so open and would be difficult to seal...

    Elusive Bulkhead Leak!

Good thought but we don't use that plumbing (no washer). It also only sems to leak when it rains. I just went out and temporarilytaped the entire cap trim (all 360'). If it continues to leak that should eliminate the trim as a source. Then I will really be stuck as it would have to be wicking...

    Elusive Bulkhead Leak!

This is going to bug me forever!! I just can't bring myself to look the other way and let it leak! I tried but its not my nature. Interesting change...the bulkhead cardboard sheet is not wet as it was last year! The water seems to be riding in the trim channel only and leaking at that last...

    Deficiencies in my new BC

Re: Deficiencies I don't think anyone is excusing the factory from producing a better quality rig nor defending the factory/dealer for the issues. My point was simply questioning why anyone would accept a new coach with such defects as torn couch, scatched counters etc. and then complain about...

Re: October 26th We hope you two are staying rained harder last night and this morning than I have seen it rain in years...if the BC didn't leak with that downpour I don't think it will! Drive to work was navigating around all the large amounts of standing water...can't imagine what...
