We're looking at spending a couple weeks of winter at the Thousand Trails Lakewood campground in Harlingen Tx.
Has anyone been there recently?
Recommendations for things to see and do?
Great places to eat?
A good place to tour on a motorcycle?
I use a Birdog with HD Directv Slimline dish. Your only snag may be if they provided you with a SWM LNB which requires an additional power source. Depending on the type of receiver they provided, the power may come direct from your box. Some require an external power "inserter" In either case...
I was able to cure that once by rotating the Anderson valve out of position then back to NORMAL.
Since your problem got worse after changing the pump, recheck your connections AND the filter bowl at the pump.
I installed a 60 gallon aux tank to eliminate the need for refueling at truck stops only. We unhook at the end of the day and then head to the best deal on fuel in the area.
The DW was concerned, however, that not stopping for fuel during the day would also mean not stopping for potty breaks!
Give Fantastic Vent a call Tel(810) 724-3818Toll Free: 800-521-0298. These numbers should get you directly to the factory in Michigan without having to go through Dometic.
I've found them to be very generous with information!
There seems to be a lot of turnover in the RV world. I've had more than one experience with a person no longer working where I last contacted them. It also happened when a Heartland service person tried to reach their contact at Lippert on my behalf.
If at first you don't get email....try the...
Options change as well as system functions with different model years (and sometimes even in mid year) so your's may vary from mine but here's what I know from our '17 Cyclone.
If your thermostat has a "heat strip" option the system knows there's a heat strip. The heat strip itself is rated at...
That is an excellent idea for testing!
I'd like to add that it's very important that an extension cord of adequate size (12ga wire would be plenty for a 50' cord) as the compressor will pull around 10 amps for starting. It doesn't take much to turn on the light but too small of wire can be...
Not necessary to unplug shore power (remember, it's powered from your batteries) but the inverter must be turned on. It will likely require you use something to push the reset button as it has to be pushed pretty deep to latch.
I believe you can replace the outlet only and not have to buy a...
Re: Automatic Transfer Switch intermittent chatter
It is not unheard of for screws to work loose on the relays inside the transfer switch. With shore power disconnected and generator off, open the cover of the transfer switch. One at a time LOOSEN the screws holding each of the large wires in...
If we work from the fully charged after being hooked up to not so charged after being on shore power angle you may want to check your converter output.
My logic there is that the truck is topping off the batteries (especially if your inverter was not powering the fridge) and then normal...
Check the GFCI outlet on the top of the inverter. For some reason they like to trip for unknown reasons. You may need to use something like a pencil as the Reset has to be pushed pretty far in to latch.
Your battery may be getting weak. The hydraulic pump for the levelup requires the same amount of power whether the battery is strong or weak. Power (watts) equals amps multiplied by volts. When volts goes down, amps has to go up which may be causing your self resetting circuit breaker to trip...
If you have the Suburban heater, don't overlook the possibility that the switch on the heater has failed. When this happened to me I made a jumper to tie the two wires together until I could get a new switch.
Shut off the city water supply and relieve pressure on the hose then rotate the Andersen valve (water source selector) and reset to city water. The valve can cause a number of goofy things to occur with your water system. Perhaps this is one of them!
Re: Res. fridge freezer door out of square
I agree that the issue is probably with a track being jarred out of position. Don't rule out that one of the drawers is crooked and holding one side of the door out too.
We leave a couple pillows on the floor in front of the fridge to cushion the...
In addition to what Duane (Porthole) has stated, depending on the length of your garage you may find yourself stopping with the front wheel on the level and the rear wheel on the dovetail. This is where I found myself starting to slide the front wheel. I now have a 115v winch that relieves all...
We've stayed here Detroit Greenfield Campground. Be specific about the site you need as part of the campground is wooded and it would probably not be suitable for your coach.
It's about 30 minutes from The Henry Ford. You should plan on at least 2 days to tour the museum and Greenfield Village...
Hi and Welcome to the forum!
My only advice would be to ask to load the Razor in the garage before you sign the papers. When the brochure says 12' (or whatever the number) garage they are measuring from the farthest points. Sometimes the half bath or whatever will extend into that 12' distance...
Duane, Cave Country is on I65 a bit out of their way to the west.
Another campground the state rally has been held at is Whispering Hills just north of Lexington and it's just a couple minutes off I75 https://www.whisperinghillsrv.com/
Construction on I75 between London and Mt Vernon...
You have asked a question equivalent to "which tires?" "what brand of truck" etc.!
I opted for the Duracell (made by Deka) AGM group31 batteries which I found cheapest at Sams Club Sams Club Batteries They frequently go on sale for $20 off. Depending on what you have for battery case(s)...
Your Cyclone will probably have 2 switches for the water pump, either of which can be used to turn it on. One is in the electric switch panel inside and the other is on the UDC that Dan mentions. Try them both.
Before you buy a new pump, access the old one as Dan describes and check for power...
