Well, got DH to sit and listen for it, and found the old, battery powered detector sitting in a cabinet, not the hardwired one at all. So thanks for getting all your thinking caps on, maybe the power of you all made him hear where it was coming from.

While packing for first trip after winter, I noticed a chirping that seemed to come from the smoke detector, but when I checked, there was no place for batteries, and it appears to be hardwired into the battery. Do they do that? The sound comes about every minute and doesn't sound like an alarm...

I've seen a lot of people saying the Sailun tires are great trailer tires, and of course, there are the venerable goodyear g series. Why do all the tv tire buyers go for Michelin, are these great trailer tires not good for trucks?

We still have the portadeck and used it for a month last year. I think it was more stable than steps just because of the handles you can hold on to.

I'd like to have one of those boxes on a platform to carry my generator on the back of our 2009 Bighorn, but ours didn't come with a hitch receiver to add the box. Can any unit be retrofitted with a hitch receiver to add one of these platforms/boxes?

Is there an easy way to take off the countertop?

Before I tackle installing the clips, I'm going to have to get to the underside and clean out all the junk I've put in the space, and to do that I'm going to have to remove at least the top shelf under the sink, if not both. Is there an orderly way to do this, or just start tearing out screws...

Dumb question but I'm still tired from moving and got all the slides out and stuff strewn around and found out I wasn't even and have to move again. Can I move the trailer with all the slides still out? I've seen another manufacturer do it, but haven't had the pleasure of being at the Heartland...

We have a switch inside the trailer to turn on the pump, but sometimes do only that and forget to go out and turn off the city water - is that a problem??

Does it damage anything if you leave your city water on while you run your pump? Like if you want a stronger shower, but don't want to go outside to turn off the city water?

We just bought a set of the Porta steps, but don't like the weight of the unit and having to manhandle it around like at a pit stop. Skywrench, I see you have both, do you prefer the Glow Steps? We love the ease of climbing the Porta steps, will I be disappointed in that facet of the Glow Step.

So there is enough "play" in the drain pipes to pull them up in lifting the sink an inch or so?

Took a peek, and couldn't find any clips in front, so was thinking about tinkering a bit, but looks like the first thing I would have to do is disconnect the drains from the sink, right?

I'm going to count my blessings that all I have to do is caulk around the space between the sink and countertop - I took a picture, since I couldn't get into the space, and see some clips that might be the saving of our arrangement. They could probably be tightened and draw the sink up, but all...

I guess that is why our sink didn't fall all the way down, I felt all around up there and the plywood frame seems to be holding it close to the counter? Does that seem to do the trick, or should I get the clips and try to install them?

'Scuse my ignorance, but it looks to me like the clips are fastened to the underside of the countertop, so they kind of "push up" on the sink? Have I got that right? We only have a space between the two, but might work on it before it falls clear out. The mobile RV guy said he couldn't find any...

Do you know what size brass tee to ask for to get the braided hose fitting with the two pex? Just 1/2" for everything? I won't know if it's right till I take it all apart, so would hate to have to go back for another.

OK, put 2 coats on and thought it was going to be fine, no leaks for 1 hour after the 24 hour cure time, but a little bit coming out now. Would like to replace the fitting, but can't find one just like it. It's white plastic, crimp fittings, and needs to fit the pex on each end and the braided...

I got some leak seal, from Rustoleum, and put it on last night. Going to try it in 24 hours. Thanks for the tip about Rescue tape.

The problem is, the hose is too big for the sleeves of the sharkbite to go over it.

That was my first thought, but the hose coming in to the tee is that white plastic stuff, and it is too big to fit in the Sharkbite. I looked at a tee that might work, with an inlet that would need to be clamped on, but can't figure out whether it would work or not. Love the Sharkbites, thanks...
