While checking our inflation this morning, we discovered that one of our tires was down to 47psi. We removed it, did the soap test on tire and stem, cant find the leak. Where on the wheel did you find your pinhole leak?
In looking at the cover photo on the March edition of Trailer Life, we cannot confirm that it is a Syracuse. Can someone scrutinize it as well, just so we don't think we're crazy! Also, the floorplan is not accurate either. It doesn't show the window behind the bed. This kind of stuff drives...
Over the 39 years we have been camping, owning our fifth RV, this is the first awning that has been damaged and must be replaced. We were camping at Paul B. Johnson State Park, south of Hattiesburg, Ms., and a tornado passed a bit too close for our comfort. It hadn't touched down, but the winds...
Jim,
We have Goodyear Marathons on our BigHorn, and had a blowout then another one went flat on the other side 20 hrs later in our driveway. Any advice on how to get some "help" with these 2 yr old, less than 2,000 miles, pieces of garbage? Thanks. Cookie advised us to fill out a complaint...
We traveled 264 miles to get our Bighorn and saved 7k by doing so. Two dealers within 100 miles of our home would not meet the price. Never will regret this purchase and how far we went to get it! Go for it!
Steve, Thanks for the reply. Could you please clarify your statement. We aren't very mechanically inclined, so please explain what you mean. Thanks for your patience and help.
One more thing. When we try to extend, the motor knocks and jumps around. Did yours? We appreciate your advice and responses, Gregg. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks, Gregg. We will try that tomorrow. Hope that does the trick. Hope the gear box isn't going bad. It works well going down, bumps and knocks and won't rotate going up. About how much did you use? No grease fitting on the leg? Did you get in the bay to do this?
Front jack won't extend. The motor vibrates and makes a popping sound. We used the manual backup and pressed the button simultaneously and it worked. After we got home, it extended and retracted easily. This morning, it is making the same sound and won't extend. Gear problem, motor problem...
1. We have a B&W. Either hitch is good.
2. Firestone Airbags, or add a leaf. Our son has these airbags on a Dodge 3500 shortbed Mega. Shortbed tow vehicles sit down more than a long bed.
3. Fifth wheels do tow much better.
Good luck with your new adventure.
Crazy to think "that" would solve our issue. When we saw "open neutral" on our surge protector, we got very unnerved thinking that we may have fried something on the BH. So far, so good. I will let you know the results.
Thanks a bunch, as usual.
Dave and Dan,
Thanks for your input. This video http://www.powerlandonline.com/blog/how-to-do-floating-neutral-for-rv-use/, explains how to make the "floating bridge" on a smaller Powerland generator. The wiring is different from ours, so I can't determine which two wires to use. See if you...
We live in a hurricane-vulnerable area, so we bought a portable generator to run our BH so we can stay in it while we have power outages during 1 or 2 category hurricanes (we stay home for those :>). This is our situation. We tried running the central air and the AC labored and didn't run...
Thanks for the response. The 3270 is too tall for our building. Looks like we will be adding some upgrades to the BH 3055. Wouldn't it be to our advantage to come to the Goshen Rally and have auto leveling and electric power spool installed while we are there?
Thanks, Kary. RV'ing....the everchanging industry! :p Now, how about the height issue on this model. Can we have the low profile A/C's installed in place of whisper quiet taller ones?
Re: can't find floor plan for B 3270RS
In regards to the tires on the new 3270, why is Heartland using LT tires now instead of ST? We have always gone by the golden rule that ST tires are the tire of choice for all RV's. LT for trucks. In addition, LT doesn't resist sun damage as well as the...
Re: can't find floor plan for B 3270RS
We saw one in Florida, and from what I could see, the slides are taller on the inside (good for our son who is 6'5"). Could be other "touches", but I can't remember.
Re: can't find floor plan for B 3270RS
Kary, is that a new tire size for 2015, because all Big Horns, in the past, came with 235/80/16? I can hardly wait to see it soon. Also, will we be able to order one with the low profile A/C's instead of the whisper quiet model which makes it too tall...
We use 1cup liquid laundry detergent, 1 cup 20 Mule Team Borax, 1 cup bleach. This is the third treatment and some improvement is evident. Work in progress. Flush at least 3 times.
Thanks, Gary. Hope we don't need anymore chemicals after this cleansing. Couldn't find Calgon anywhere, so I bought the Mule team powder.....ha ha! I hope it is a work horse.
I will be trying the Geo method for the first time. The campground we go to doesn't have sewer, so we hold it for 14 days then dump on the way out. We can't wait to "clean house"!
Well-stated Jim. My exact feelings on this issue. Once again, we are the guinea pigs. The E cig hasn't had enough research done to consider it a "safe"alternative. I don't smoke, but I lived in a household of smokers growing up!
Re: ATF: Landmark - Savanna Pass Through Storage
Happy for you two. We saw Jim & Nancy's Savanna and it is very, very nice. Pics when you get it. Hope to meet up with ya'll sometime.
