    Bighorn 3185 Fresh Water Tank

I tried to fill my fresh water tank time so that I could sanitize it. According to the owner's manual, it has a 75 gallon tank but using a flow meter to measure the amount of water, was only able to put in about 50 gallons before it started coming out of the overflow. I checked the...

A/C fan runs when furnace on

That did it. Strange that the fan had not been coming on unless I selected "Fan" or "Cool" on the thermostat. Oh well, all is good now. The site members here are great about quick responses without getting "snarky". I really appreciate it. Thanks again.

A/C fan runs when furnace on

My furnace has been working fine and it still is. Had my Bighorn connected to shore power and needed to exercise my diesel generator. Swapped power from one to the other and when I entered the camper, my A/C fan was running. I had the furnace running and the thermostat was set for furnace but...

    Bedroom slide-out seals

Thanks Dave. That's good to know because there doesn't seem to be any way to actually replace the originals. I don't suppose you remember where you got them from. I have found lots of the D style seals.

    Bedroom slide-out seals

Greetings all, The wiper seals running down the sides of the bedroom slide have broken away from the wall where they are attached. I am talking about the thin pieces of rubber, not the D shaped seals that seal when the slide is closed. These are the seals that wipe the sides as the slide goes...

    Freshwater drain on 2012 3185RL

I found it!!! On my previous 5th wheel, the freshwater tank was up front near the fill valve. I never imagined that the drain pipe could be behind my rear axle. Thanks again!

    Freshwater drain on 2012 3185RL

Thanks, but on mine, there doesn't appear to be anything located over the axles. I can tell where the black and gray tanks are because the bottom enclosure extends lower from about 3 feet back from the axle all the way to the front. It has rained here all day, but I will post a picture tomorrow.

    Freshwater drain on 2012 3185RL

Greetings All, I have searched the bottom and side rails of our Bighorn and cannot find any sort of drain. This is not my first fifth wheel so I know what to look for. I am looking for the freshwater drain, not an overflow. Of course, I haven't found any overflows either. Hopefully someone...

    Mystery cable in bedroom

Hello All, I am the new owner of an 3185RL. In the cabinet over the bed next to the antenna amplifier, there is a cable sticking out of the wall. It has a 7 or 8 pin connector. Does anyone know what it might be? Thanks!

Thanks Dave. I was so concerned with trying to get to the back, that I had never seen the three screws. I got it removed.

    Removing Toshiba flatscreen from wallmount

Greetings All, I have a 2012 Bighorn 3185rl and I want to remove my built-in Toshiba flatscreen and mount it on a swivel mount. Does anyone know what magic spell Heartland used to mount the tv originally? Mine is the original install and I cannot get to the only two screws that I can see. I...
