Good point...I've flown into a couple with Google Earth and you are right. I do notice in one location there are a couple of big trucks parked along an adjacent street.

Cheryl, please don't take this the wrong way..but the word Diesel is misspelled in your Signature...or did you do that on purpose to see if we were paying attention? :-)

    Bob Evans RV Parking

When have traveled in the past (by car) we much prefer the Bob Evans restaurants over Cracker Barrel. So..while I know Cracker Barrel has RV parking at most locations...does anyone know about Bob Evans. I emailed the company and they say to go to their sight and use the Restaurant Locator...

    05chev vs 08 dodge

Duramax has been known to have injector problems..and it's a V8. The Cummins inline 6 has fewer moving parts and is very powerful. If I was pulling a 3670, I would want mega power. A friend of mine who is a diesel expert told me "put as much warranty on 'er as you can because you can't afford...

    RECLINERS 3055 2009 Big Horn

Good luck with that Goldenbetty! We have the stock recliners, one of which leans..and upon consulting with the dealer..who consulted with Heartland, who in turn consulted with the manufactureer..we were told this "lean" was within tolerable design limits. How is that for a cop out? Interested...

    First 5er Question

We use a tripod and it does help with much of the shake when you're moving around in the RV. Make sure you get it tight enough. Means you need to let the RV down on it to tighten the legs and chains. You cannot get it tight enough by screwing the pin holder up into it.

    Palm Springs Area

Thanks for your perspective. Coming from the area..I would guess you know what you're talking about. We have booked into a park at Indian Wells. Hope that works for us. Very much looking forward to being there for the month of December!

    Palm Springs Area

Many thanks for your info and advice so far. Sailorand tuned me into the wind issue north of I-10. When I asked the gal at Sands about the wind there she admitted it can get pretty windy and is indeed less so, south of I-10. We are now looking at Indian Wells RV Resort. Anyone stayed there?

    NuWa bites the dust

Not surprised about NUWA, given the CEO's remarks last year and even viewing their products at shows. They weren't in the game anymore. Heartland has it right..now Jim, please tell the owners, etc. to keep strong on customer service. It is us owners who tell the story and spread the word! Many...

    Tying down the electric awning

I have an electric awning on my 3600RL. Since I'm fairly new with this unit and the awning..I'm wondering about tying it down and putting one of those sun shades on it..when we're parked at the camp in Florida for a month. Can anyone give me advice on this?

    internal floorplan dimensions?

Just to echo what everyone else here has said.. we looked at both the 3670 and 3600RL..before buying and did get to see the 3670 live..however we did not see the 3600 before buying. We made the decision in favor of the 3600 because it offers a bit more living room space. The 3670 gives more...

Does the 2009 Bighorn come with 2 batteries

Sorry Rickbsgu..longer (meaning more cycles) but not stronger assuming the batteries are of wet cell design. AGMs will give you higher voltage closer to their drop point and of course are maintenance free. Remember my friend, 12.86 volts is 100% charge for any 12 volt battery..again, regardless...

    Towing BH 3670

I believe the only real difference between the 2500 (3/4 ton) and the 3500 (1 ton) is the rear springs and tires. I also believe this is essentially true of Ford and Chev as well..at least it is with my Dodge. If you beef up your rear suspension with air bags..you'll have no problem. Of course...

Does the 2009 Bighorn come with 2 batteries

Just to clarify, 6 volt batteries won't hold a charge any longer than 12 volt batteries...assuming of course they are of like design ie; wet cell! Depending on the design, they will handle more cycles because the plates are thicker. A cycle is a discharge and charge..provided the discharge is...

    Wide Right Turn Decal

Lights are fine but they don't really indicate what an RV or long trailer of any kind needs to often do in order to turn right from the right hand lane. Folks who don't pull a trailer are not aware..so the sign kind of provides a bit of instant education. Provided of course they can read. A...

    Wide Right Turn Decal

A real bunch of comedians we have on here eh? Did you catch that?..I'm Canadian eh! Anyway, my thinking is that even with the signal light..if a vehicle has been following for a bit..sees the signal, then you swing a bit left..they might be lulled into thinking you're changing lanes or...

    Furnace Fan Voltage
