    Frameless windows

Anyone notice when shopping that only the low end toyhaulers are still using the cheap dirt collecting framed windows? Everyone else, Voltage, Raptor, Momentum, Vengeance, Seismic, Venom, Fuzion, XLR, Spartan...they all use frameless now. When is Heartland going to conceed and start using them too.

Who can tell me what is the best resort in Branson Missouri to stay at and why? Not really looking for a campground.

Looks pretty slick. I may be in the market instead of other options I've considered. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iwJBJF6jlI

    Decal issues

I recall some time back reading about a batch of decals that had manufacturing issues. My 2010 (doesn't seem that old to me, but it is I guess) has had decal issues for probably the last 3 or 4 summers. This summer is really bad. All the blue ones started to fade or color run about 4 years ago...

    Decal problems

I've had decal issues for some time now, probably 3 years easy, but it's just now getting to be a problem I'm not sure I can live with. Decals all over the coach have shrank leaving a grey (backing?) bordering around the stripes. A very weird thing. The door decal shrank so much that it's...

Return Cyclone to King of the Road

Been looking at new toyhaulers. So we stopped in to the local dealer (General RV - the largest RV dealer in the US) who is selling Fuzion, Voltage, Impact, and the new Grand Design Momentum. I've said this before, but what attracted us to Cyclone back in 2010 was that Cyclone was certainly the...

2010 Slide Bottom Rotting despite factory fix

I remember reading the threads on the slide bottom edges not being covered on some of the early Heartland products. I looked at my 2010 Cyclone at the time and took comfort in knowing mine had the "factory fix" which involved a small piece of trim applied to the edges. After a weekend of...

    New 2014 RAM Megacab clearance

Moving up from my 2006 megacab to a 2014 megacab and I'm wondering if I should buy the picture frame adaptor (sit higher?) and use my 10yr old noisy 18k PullRite SuperGlide still, or switch to a B&W Companion 3600 that drops right in. I like the peace of mind of the SuperGlide, but it's noisy...

    Aluminum Fender Skirts

Anyone know what toyhauler is running aluminum fender flares / skirts? Keystone? I know I've seen them before. My plastic ones cracked shortly after buying it. I've continued to patch and repair with epoxy to extend the life, but the bottom line is they're just super thin, cheap, and poorly...

Pickup parts at Rally? Contact needed.

I have some odds and ends I'd like to get from Heartland. Is there a way to order them and pick them up when we come down for the rally? I'd rather not ship items like this, plus I'd save a couple bucks I'm guessing. Not even sure who to email... Specifically: - Couple Cyclone Windows -...

    Dicor or Etenabond tape

Was up on the Cyclone last week and noticed the silicone or whatever they used to make a very small bead between the front and read caps and the roof isn't stuck anymore. So it's time to reseal that joint. What I've typically done to past trailers is lay down a small bead of Dicor, and it lasts...

    Toilet brush woes...

Getting ready to leave the Michigan Rally on Sunday, and we were doing some last minute cleaning. While scrubbing the toilet, the end of the brush fell off in a blink of an eye. It went perfectly down the hole and out of sight almost before I knew what could happen, and certainly before I got...

    Garage AC fore thinking

Just a quick note, that hopefully the factory reads in honest. I just got done installing my garage AC with the exception of running the wiring through the belly. I ran into several hiccups that are easily solved with no cost, by the factory thinking ahead some. I'm sure it's a factory option...

    Newer pitched awning arms

Anyone have the newer pitched Carefree awning? I got looking at the owners manual for these and it's the awning as the fixed pitch (flat), except it appears that the lower arm has a series of holes and allows telescoping. Seems to me if a person wanted to modify theirs to be pitched, all you'd...

    Slow Awning & Bunks

I've done some reading, but wondered if anyone here has had to deal with this? My awning is getting slower and slower even when on shore power. My battery is weak, was hoping to make it through this year, but seems like when it's on shore power the weak battery shouldn't matter. I mentioned it...

ATF: Cyclone - Garage AC Unit

Been considering adding a Garage A/C Unit with Heater since my kids sleep in there. The local dealer wants to know if the roof is supported in the garage area to hold an A/C unit. Seems like it would be. I know the unit is prewired in the bedroom, but that's not where I want it. I want it in the...

    Mor/Ryde hitch height vs CRE/3000

Just got around to installing my Mor Ryde pin hitch. At first I hooked it up lower so I'd have more bed clearance. Even at my stock 6", I had a few times when the bed touched the bottom of the nose. I've also watched it push on my underside light hard several times and worried it would get...

New to me Mor/Ryde ala dprince99

Just giving a shout out to dprince99 for selling me his left overs. Thanks bud. Looks like I have a spring install now. Been wanting to try one of these for some time now. Should work pretty well for the minor chucking we get.

    Heartland gear for xmas...NOT!

I'm normally the one defending Heartland's customer service, but this year we got hosed. Since it was my request to my wife, and she took it on the chin, I felt I had to post for others to read and beware. I ask for a shirt and hat for xmas with the words Cyclone on it. When she went to the...

    Rear cargo carrier.

Since we use our garage as a bunkhouse for the kids I got tired of loading small dirty items in the garage only to turn around and have to clean it up before rolling out the carpet. Items like outside rugs, weber grill, sand box toys, and squirt guns fit in here great. It's made from 2x2...

    Help with spring hanger position.

Can anyone tell me if they're springs are all hanging from the same holes in the spring hangers and balancers? I have them (from the factory) in different holes. I'm currently looking to change the ride height and pin for more bed clearance, but I'm not sure if I should just move them all one...

    Upkeep

Well I finally got around to the dreaded roof washing, side washing, and waxing. Noticed the trim was starting to yellow after cleaning. All my rigs have done this. So...masked the door, windows, and painted them up too. Looks good. Hit the fridge vent while I was at it. It makes a big impact...

    Insulated the garage area

Finished up the addition of foam core insulation to the Cyclone garage area last fall. Went fairly well other then it doesn't look the best under there. Now I want to seal it up using Coroplast like the rest of the coach. Anyone know where you can buy it by the sheet or roll? Local dealer...

    Power electrical cord reel

Was watching the Landmark video on Heartland's site. Anyone install one of these reels at a great price? Anyone have any good way of wrestling that alligator of a cord without one? I put mine in a tote in the basement and I feel like I went one round with Ali afterwords. They don't coil very well.

My Cyclone must do cheap mods!

Sorry the pictures are bad. Phone lens has some scratches I didn't realize it when I took them. I'll have to polish it out and re-post sometime. I started by making a set of stabilizers from Home Depot conduit, a couple bolts and nuts. I think I have about $20 into it now. I put a pc of...

Top bedroom slide cable coming apart

Anyone have one do this before? Noticed a horrid noise while opening this weekend. Inspection reveals that the slides top cable is coming unraveled and the resulting strand is balling up behind the slide. Looks like a joy to fix....8-(

    Decal life

Been seeing some posts on decal's peeling and cracking on Fuzions and Keystone products. Been wondering myself how long to expect on the Cyclone decals. Especially the front one. I know I read about someone who had their front cap clear coated to seal in the vinyl. Sounded like a decent idea if...

    Swing Out Rear Outdoor Kitchen

Anyone ever seen anything like this for sale before? I'm thinking it's custom. Man that's a pretty cool idea for a greasy grill. I think I could come up with something similar for mine. A Cyclone wouldn't have to have the lights in the grill either since they're mounted up higher.

    Bigger window in door

I mentioned this in another thread somewhere, but couldn't find it to elaborate on, but considering how little viewing area on one side there is on some of these floor plans (my 3612 for example) I was thinking a full length window on the door would be cool. Well much to my surprise, this last...

TrailAir Equa Flex or Dexter E-Z Flex?

Which one is better for our Cyclone? I know Heartland seems to use the E-Z Flex at the factory, but since I don't have either currently, I'm thinking I can put either on. Also, anyone know how to add shocks while I'm ad it? I have a little mig welder that's great for that stuff.

    No insulation, heating, and AC...

The family has been enjoying the Cyclone this summer. This weekend while at our resort, I was zip-tieing rope lights under the Cyclone (with my little boy's...ah..."help"). Much to my surprise, when I eventually crawled my way to the back, I noticed there's NO insulation in the floor AT ALL...

Big Horn / Cyclone can lighting part number & manufacture

    7440 led bulbs?

All my Cyclone's external running lights are LED EXCEPT...the side markers. After one went out on my new Cyclone, I have a notion to throw in a white LED bulb. I have a switch inside that I have hooked to the running lights that allows me to run them while on shore power. LED's would have less...

Looking at new hitches - help

I know everyone has a different view on sliders. I like my Pullrite 16k (3300) hitch, but it sure is noisey. It clunks and creeks alot, and PullRite hasn't been a huge help with any of that. I finally made all new pins for it to take up some of the designed in slop. That's helped some. We need...

Filled fresh water tank in course of two days on city water & pump runs

We recently picked up our 3612 and took our maiden voyage. While on that trip we were hooked to city water and after two or three days I noticed water coming out the bottom of the coach. I traced it back to coming out the vent. When I removed the cap it came out the cap as well. I checked the...

2010 under carraige storage? Where'd it go?

Just picked up my 2010 Cyclone 3612. Did the PDI and things were pretty good. However, when I got home, it dawned on me that there's no storage bins underneath, yet it's listed as a standard for 2010. The unit was built 9/2009. Where'd they go and why? That was a selling point for me.
