Greetings all,
What do y'all do for decorations when fulltiming? We are trying to decide what to keep or let go as our time slowly comes to fulltime. Do you have a tree, real or artificial? Do you only put lights up around the interior of the rig? Enjoy someone else's decorations? We love...
Hi,
Insurance is up in a couple of months and got a letter from the agent recommending switching to Safeco. Currently for the trailer we are with Allied.
Has anyone had claims experience with either one?
I found the letter very strange in that if I did not replay they were going to have...
I was looking on the Heartland site today at new trailers. I noticed that on most of the 5th wheels I looked at the axles on the trailers were only rated to cover the dry weight and not the GVWR. Yet on the travel trailers the axles are rated to cover the GVWR.
Example the Landmark Madison...
I know that the 5'er's have a quality difference that is noted on the Heartland Webpage. Do the Travel Trailers have a similar breakdown. We will be looking to upgrade in the future and would like to know how different trailers rank within the brand.
Thanks,
John
We have had the North Trail for about 18 months now as second owners. When we got it the kitchen table was hanging on the wall with the 2 white clips you see in the picture. For part of last year we traveled with it in that position. I got looking at it and decided that maybe that was not the...
I wanted to check the state of the batteries (2 X 12V in parallel) since when we were dry camping recently they did not last very long. I bought a 100A battery load tester to see what they would read. I disconnected AC power from the trailer then disconnected the batteries from the trailer. I...
Not sure where to put this thread but I have lost the button that allowed me to do a quick reply. The only option that I have is Reply with Quote which is a real pain to use.
Does any one know how to get the Quick Reply button back?
Thanks,
John
We are getting ready to do some camping with out electrical hookup. Generally a weekend and we do have portable generators. Ran a test this weekend with the batteries running the furnace over night and the held up okay and it was still running in the morning but the battery lights at the panel...
Wife and I are sitting in a pretty nice campground enjoying the weekend. We have noticed that in camp grounds with full hookups that people use the bathroom and showers at the campground. Why is this?
Part of the reason we got our trailer was to have our OWN bathroom that we know is clean and...
We were out this weekend and I happened to be under the trailer and noticed that the cryoplast was bulging down between the wheels. I thought it might be water from rain but it was not. Turns out that the fresh water tank had slipped from it's mounting rails and was laying against the...
We were getting ready to leave today and doing the rear light check and I found that the right rear break light would not come on. I looked at the bulb and it looked okay but we stopped and got replacements anyway. The replacement made no difference. I am guessing the break signal is not...
I have always wondered why I keep seeing posts about how long it takes Dealers to fix stuff. My experience with replacing the Fender Skirts on our North Trail showed me how it can happen.
I called Heartland and ordered the Fender Skirts on April 25th of this year. The order was processing in...
I noticed about a month ago that the interior panel just forward of the slide that covers the forward cabinet had started to bow. Since that time the bow has gotten worse and has popped off a piece of molding. I have seen there is a 1X2 back between this panel and the cabinet that I could...
Since this was potentially a big issue I thought I would post it even though I have found the solution.
This applies to a 2011 North Trail with a cable slide mechanism.
Two weeks ago we were using the trailer and when we got ready to go home the slideout got stuck as we were pulling it in...
Hi,
We just bought a 2011 Northland 28RLS travel trailer used. We have been having a great time with it but have noticed that it seems to sit closer to the ground than a lot of other trailers. We have scrapped the rear stabilizers or bumper on a couple of occasions where there is a decent size...
