I don't believe so as it was very poorly constructed (framing) and very easy to remove. I don't see any issues since doing it.

You may not have it like I did. Mine was over the kitchen and just looked like a blank faceplate and after some research, that is what I was told that is where it mounts. I was also told that you can install it under the dome but you'll have to go on the roof to complete that part.
