EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: IA, Amana - 10/3/2019 to 10/6/2019

Just found out today the normal gate we have used in the past to enter the campground is closed. They asked us to use their new gate (Gate #2) which is just past the old one, I assume on the same access road. We will be arriving on Tuesday (10/1), using our P/A for the two days before the rally...

Dometic (gas absorption) RM 1350 SLM glass fuse type

Thanks Bill... yes, I did look at the fuse end....5 Amp 125 volt, but it didn't specify GMA or GDC. I have a GMA in there now.....so far so good. Must have just been an anomaly or something. Sad that Dometic couldn't tell me anything.........

Dometic (gas absorption) RM 1350 SLM glass fuse type

Does anyone know which type of glass fuse (5A 125V) is used in this unit?? Not sure if it's supposed to have a GMA 5A 5mmX20mm fast blow, or a GDC 5A slow blow? After resetting the GFI from an apparent overload, I noticed the unit would only run on LP, not A/C. Further troubleshooting revealed...

    left door flapper alignment RM1350

Does anyone know how to adjust the flapper on the bottom of the left lower door so that it glides into the guide plate without having to slightly lift the door so that the flapper pin falls into the guide plate? Searching the forum, there was a post by Dan in 2012 about a new guide plate, but...

EVENT: Heartland Chapter Rally: MI, Jenison - 8/22/2019 to 8/25/2019

Just stopped by the campground today after visiting my brother who lives in Jennison. There were a good number of campers there and also a good amount water in the river. The river was very high and the owners put an extra ramp just to get to the office. Very nice folks. We did not see any...

    Level up manifold 6 point

Thanks.....the two valves on the top of the manifold are for the leveling jacks. The valve on the bottom is for the slides. The master landing jack contains it's own valve which is between the walls and on the blind side of the rv way up at an arm's length. Not an easy maneuver to get the 5/32"...

    Level up manifold 6 point

Just wondering for anyone else that has the Lippert 6 point leveling system, how many manifolds (trombetta) do you have? My 2019, 31RLK Elkridge has only one manifold. A conversation with Lippert claims that there should be two manifolds.....one for extend, and one for retract. If you look at...

    Hydralic pump not working

Is Heartland or the dealership responsible to provide the drill adapter? I did not get one in my blue bag. Can someone post a picture of it so that I can get one?? Thanks

    Hydralic pump not working

Odd......I didn't get the "drill adapter" in my blue packet of my 2019 31RLK......... Also, the Lippert service guy recommends opening the slide(s) valve first, (then closing the slide(s)), followed by the leveling jack vslves (in unison), and finally opening the master landing gear valve (if...

    2019 - Goshen Rally - Discussion Thread

Gary.... Don't think we will need your old window. THis camper came with a clear window unlike the "frosted" ones in our previous Heartland's, The screen door actually has a black shade as well for privacy. I think we will leave this "clear" window in, as it's the only view to the outside since...

    Sailun tire size

Thanks for the research, Dan. I wonder if the new Trailer King RSTs are an improvement over the older ones, or do they just classify the tires without any suffix (RST) which explains zero complaints? Those are only the complaints that people take the time to make. I'm sure there are many other...

    Sailun tire size

Just great......My 2019 Elkridge 31 RLK came with brand new, shiny Trailer King RST tires! I'm just so thrilled that I now have to spend another several hundred dollars for new Sailuns!!! Yes, at least the wheels ate 3750/110 lb. rated. I feel better already........

2017 Cyclone 4114 broken axle mounts

Thanks Dave.......I'll look under yours at the National. Sad that we all should/need to do these "enhancements", but that, among other "improvements" were what I budgeted for when I picked out this level of trailer. It seems even on the high end/6 figure units you need to do almost the same...

2017 Cyclone 4114 broken axle mounts

Just wondering, being proactive, by getting angle iron etc welded to the hangers etc. before they brake, Will this void any warranty on a new 2019 unit? Hate to wait for them to brake in the middle of nowhere, if I’m even lucky enough to notice it before damage is done. I don’t carry a portable...

    Slide Out Timing

Thanks Dave for the research on the old thread, but it seems like there has got to be an easier, less expensive way to do this rather than running additional hydraulic lines or something. There was mentioned in the posts about putting a 2X4 in the slide to trick it from opening. Wonder how that...

    Towmax (Blowmax)

My current new Trailer Kings have a total of 122 miles on them from Elkhart to dealer, then to my home. They have a DOT code of May 2018 on them, which makes them almost one year old as of this date. Scary to think that another 100 miles or so, and another month to the National Rally may not...

    Slide Out Timing

Wondering also, with a single (hydraulic) slide switch, and no way to "valve out" individual slides, according to Heartland customer service for my unit, if it's possible to isolate, either electrically or mechanically the logic of which slide open, or stays closed first. Sorry also to hear of the blowout/damage, not a FUN THING!! I did not see mention of how old the tires were. as I didn't see what year trailer you have. Welcome new Elkridge

That's a really good question, as we "thought" is was smaller, but if you measure tip to tip it's the same. It definitely has less storage than the Gateway. On the drive home yesterday, it seemed lighter, compared to the empty Gateway. The GVWR is 500 lbs less also.
