I would like to avoid the Snoqualmie Pass on I90. Would it be better to take I90 to Ellensburg, then north on 97 & then take 2 west to the Seattle area.
Thanks
I have used a rack that attaches to the pin box. It is a Top Pop or Pop Top. Used it for many years without any problems.
BTW: it is for sale as I no longer am traveling with the 5er.
I would not leave them open prior to your trip if it will snow. Closing them with or without awnings can be a challenge if any of the snow ices up.
Have a safe trip south.
Also have them check the brakes. Pulling the breakaway would have engaged the brakes for the full time that the batteries had power. This could have caused brake problems.
Seeing you are out of manufacturer's warranty, why wouldn't you use an independent RV service. There is a very good one I've used in Carstairs: Deluxe RV Service.
"Pour some in the toilet to flush,"
I'm from the Great White North... when winter RVing we use windshield wash to flush ... liquids only, using the bathhouse for other stuff.
We do not have a W/D... use the room for storage with shelving... extra storage is a good idea when going fulltime & we found that using the parks' laundromats is another place for socializing.
the prodding from the wife I am also leaning toward the Bighorn
No doubt about it: go with the BH... if you don't the wife won't be happy & your RVing life will be miserable.
No problem in carrying them. We carried a 2-step mini ladder that we used to mount/dismount the bikes (also had other uses to this). From what I understand, the manufacturer's main market is the USA.
Here is the one I've used: http://www.arvika.ca/index.php/us/fifth-wheel
The rails mount to the side of the pin box... and requires the drilling of holes. I'm not sure about the pin box cover as I don't have one.
Too bad you are so far away, as I have one for sale.
regards
I use the same system... I change the sediment filter every month & the carbon filter every 3 months. We are full timers for the summer months & are not traveling with the rig.
We stayed there in 2009... very nice & close enough to transit... BUT I found the sites were very small, not very deep & quite narrow... had to park our pickup in a different area.
Gave them a rate of 6.
We stayed here a few years ago befor it became a Jellystone. We rated it as 7... lowered the rating as they were doing major road work in the park & it was very noisy & smelly from the tar.
We had the splitting problem when we returned from Arizona to our unit that was in Alberta for the winter. We had a better quality lino installed & completely glued down. Hopefully when we return this spring we won't have the same problem.
Regarding Line-X Warranty:
We had our Line-X installed in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. A year & a half later, we brought the pickup to the Line-X dealer in Yuma as in a couple of areas we could see the bed through the lining. The Yuma dealer tested the depth of the lining & determined that it was...
