    In the early 70s there was a trailer similar to this, that was manufactured to be towed by your typical family sedan. I believe the name was "The Shadow"...a friend of mine worked at a camper lot in Omaha Nebraska that sold these. They had one in the front of their lot hooked to the roof of a Chevy sedan. These were being sold before the typical 5th wheel RV was being manufactured in large numbers...never really caught on.

    Would not work now...."gutter rails" have gone the way of the dinosaurs!
