Our first outing in our new 3055 BH 2011
Went to vacuum and it's not working is there a switch you have to turn on?
We put the hose in the recepticle and nothing same thing in the storage bay.
Help anyone

Some of those hoses you have to get aggressive about putting them in the receptacle, maybe give it a little twist. If it still dosent work take the screw out of the face plate and see if the two wires are attached. They are pretty fragile and may be loose or broken.

I'll state the obvious, it could be a circuit breaker, or the line cord was never plugged in. Hopefully it's not that as you'll have to undo the bulkhead to get in behind it. On ours you can remove the circuit breaker panel and reach in there, but be forewarned it's a tangled web going in that way. Try "retired4fun"'s ideas first, though. Hope some of this helps...

In our BH if you pull up(vertical) the face plate a little hole opens up in the bottom so you can sweep into the vacuum without using the hose. Check to see if this works. If this works, get aggressive. If not, you probably have a wiring problem(not aware of a switch).

One more question
Is the vacuum suppose to come with a long handle? If so we didn't get one Thanks again
As you can tell total newbies here what a great group you all are

In your box(brown, probably in basement) was all the parts that went with the vacuum. The long handle is 2 "pipes" you put together.
