Replacing original jack pads

We have a set and are happy with them.
I don't think they help with stability at all, but they do increase the "footprint" so that we don't use pads every time we drop the hook.
When the ground is soft, and we use pads, the weight seems to be dispersed pretty well and eliminates a lot of settling.
They are durable though, I thought I tore one up getting connected when my landing gear failed two weeks ago.
When the weight was relieved it sprang right back to shape.
They are a luxury item more than a necessity...........

I've got them with the rubber footies, fore and aft, and like them better than the standard feet. I place a cribbing pad under them, made of three 12" lengths of 4x4 side by side, with a 5/4 planking on top. Makes it about a 5" high platform so I don't have to drop the legs as far.
