Hitch Buddy Tow Dolly

Further Findings on Tow Buddy!

Checking the Indiana Code, it states that an owner does not have to obtain a certificate of title for a trailer that is subject to registration as a trailer that has a declared weight of not more than three thousand (3,000) pounds and is not a camping trailer.

Question: Any idea how much the Tow Buddy weighs??

Also, I did email a full description, plus a copy of the Tow Buddy video to our county prosecutor. He replied that it would be his thought that as long as it is hooked up to a licensed trailer, it would not need to be plated. It appeared to him to be a part of the licensed trailer.

There again: Each state is different. That's as close as I can get for now.

Also; our prosecutor wants to know what the cost is on the Tow Buddy, since he needs one.

If I find anything else, I'll pass it on. For now, I wouldn't worry about it.

The weight of the Tow-Buddy is around 1,000 lbs. I paid around $5,500 give or take a few for mine. I know the MSRP was around $6,400 but who pays retail.

Thanks!

Thanks billd: I'll pass it on. If he does buy one, who knows, he might come up with more info concerning the tow buddy.
