Did you build and stain the wood yourself, or find pre-built shelves and adapt them to the areas?

If you stained yourself, what is the stain you used?

Got the shelf and the paint at Home Depot,they scanned the shelf and mixed the paint(half pint try it size).I though it was a really good match.
