How does the Electric Brake settings really work???

I have a new 2010 Dodge truck w/ an electronic information panel..... I know from the past that setting the electric brakes for a mid range number works fine for my 7000 lb fifth wheel. Now when I hit the brakes a bar runs across the screen. It is related to the foot pressure but what is it really telling me. Thanks FFG

Telling you how much current is going to your trailer brakes. If you set the gain higher then the current increases for more stopping power. Set the gain to where the trailer will stop itself with no help from the TV brakes and you should be good.
