Re: 2011 Eastern Region Rally

Just curious.......why has this rally not made the list of upcoming events/rallies on the portal page? Sure is easier to see what's happening regarding an event if you can get to it from the portal page.

Re: 2011 Eastern Region Rally

Dick,

To answer your question.

An event of this size a budget has to be put together and approved by Jim and Heartland.
It would do no good to put it on the events calendar without the support of Heartland.

I have submitted the budget and now waiting for the approval.

Dick,

Here is the answer to all your questions.

We finally have a budget and now we can start the registration process for the Regional rally.

Re: 2011 Eastern Region Rally

Just made our reservation for the spring regional in Cherokee. When I was a boy we always camped at Smokemont cg,between Cherokee,NC and Gatlinburg,TN. I am looking forward to camping in the area again and seeing the mountains in the spring.

The rally fee for NON Heartland owners club will be $20.00, however if you join the club at the rally the fee will be waived.

We feel that this fee must be imposed for this rally, due to of all of the things that are provided free by Heartland to the club members.

Thank you for understanding,

Dave

Jim & Harriet,

When I created the event I did not plan a potluck, however we can have one as the final agenda is not in place as of today. I will be in a planning session in Mount Airy this week.

One night potluck might not be a bad idea in that there is not much open in Cherokee in April, until after the middle of May (still slim pick'n for restuarants being open then). We can all go gambling since Harrah new addition to the casino will be open then.

hummm.... we have never been to Cherokee and I had thought there would be lots of "stuff"
happening in that town even at the end of April. But potluck is always fun and I'm sure there
will be Heartland events too.

Good news we have a volunteer to take control of the food prep and gathering for a Potluck dinner on Friday night at the Eastern Rally at Cherokee. Contact Deb Funderburg (boattofiver) so she can plan what to have.

So for all the folks that wanted a Potluck dinner here is your chance, I am sure that Deb will be asking for help in the near future.

Thanks Deb for stepping up.

Terry and Renee;
We learned a lot from you guys, Larry and Sam included. We now have a couple of new menu items to share with friends,(doughboys, doughnuts) along with fond memories of fried apple pies. My wife Bonnie is a little shy and it was great seeing her make friends, laughing at great stories, and sitting around the campfire. Thanks
