2011 slam latches for storage doors

I saw a new 2011 Cyclone 3950 this weekend and noticed they now have the high end coach style slam latches. Can my 2010 3950 with the standard turn knobs be retofitted? I like these style latches better and it would be easier for the kids. Thanks!

I wondered this too. I looked into the latch itself and there appears to be a deal that goes in the door AND the frame. So you'd have to modify the frame as well. In our case we'd have to plug the remaining holes too. I'd still love to do it, but I have a feeling they're going to tell us we need the entire door assembly, and then you'd have graphics to worry about.

I too noticed these new latches while at my dealer today. I'll keep watching this forum with interest to see if anyone has attempted this modification.
