ATF: Sundance - Product to Replace Body Seam Sealant

The caulk in the joints of the exterior caps and body panels is yellowing and shrinking. I'm going to begin the process of removing and replacing this joint caulking.

1. What material is used in the factory initially and, as a result, what is best to remove and clean these surfaces prior to new material application?

2. Is Sikaflex-521-UV appropriate to re-caulk these exterior seams. I have used it on small repair jobs and its seems to be holding up well although it may be hard to remove later.

3. Other users have recommended ProFlex RV Caulk. Is this preferable and why?

I'd like not to have to do this job every 2 years so I"m looking for the best long-term solution, even if it takes a bit longer and costs a bit more.

Thanks

1) Sikaflex, use a plastic tool tht won't cut or damage the RV finish.

2) HRV uses Sikaflex 505 UV

3) HRV has no experience with ProFlex and cannot make a recommendation on that product

Thanks,
