u-line ice maker

Has anyone installed a u-line ice maker to a 3670 rl bighorn? We are needing to install one and would like to hear suggestions of anyone who has installed one.

Hi guys - welcome to the HL Owner Club and the newest members of the Tennessee Chapter. As far as installing an u-line ice maker, I'm not sure but 2 weekends ago at the Eastern Rally in Cherokee, several folks had a stand-alone ice maker. It looked like about the size of a bread maker. Just add water and presto - ice. Was told you can find them at Targets. We are going to look for one this weekend.

They are available at the big box stores too and Menards. We got ours at Target in Springfield, Mo.

We have a stand alone ice maker and it works great, but it does not keep the ice frozen. You have to take it out and put it in the freezer. We took the oven out of our Big Horn 3600. Put in a stove top and a pull out shelf where the oven was located. Finished it off with a nice cabinet door. Works great and looks classy. Like other posts, check the big box stores, Walmart, Target, Shopko, Lowes, Home Depot, etc for the best prices. We never used the ice maker in the frig. In fact I took it out to gain more freezer space.
