Hello everyone.

Need to know some specifics re the electric awning on the 2012 24-RBS:

1) Brand name and model.

2) a-is it, flat pitch?
b-is it, steep pitch?
c-is it, adjustable pitch?

Also, would like your comments, good or bad, re these electric awnings, not
just on the 24-RBS, but other Heartland travel trailer models and even non-Heartland
models.

Thanks in advance,

DavidB.

I can only provide details on my 28BRS awning from mine that was built about a year ago. Mine is a Colorado Carefree, but I'll have to check the model. It is nearly flat, not adjustable, but has automatic rain dump feature that works well.

My 26LRSS also has a Carefree with the same characteristics already mentioned. It works well, but I did buy a strap for it in case of a motor failure and it has to be closed manually.

Thank you for your replies.

We've decided to upgrade to the "adjustable" model offered by Carefree.

The standard awning is almost worthless in my opinion. Very little shade,
easy target for the wind and no pich. If it's too windy or rainy you must retract
or suffer the possible consequences.

SOB's similar trailer size and layout and selling price point have the Carefree Adjustable
as standard equipement. I think Heartland should go this route too. The can even increase the price.....slightly!

Just my $0.02 :D
