Deb,

Please add Nancy and I to the cruise list. Can't eat free, so Nancy will have to get lucky at the slots to pay for my meal :)

Thanks Debbie, we are looking forward to the adventure. Please add us to the list for the cruise. I'd ask the wife, but she'd just give me a look of "Yes Stupid, we going."

I have obtained and posted the information for the SunCruz Casion excursion. Click HERE to go to the first post in this thread to view these flyers. The price for groups per person is $25.00 p/p. In addition we are trying to work out shuttle transportation to and from the ship so no one has to drive. I'll keep you posted as I gain more info from the group sales department. It is difficult working through email and we are now assigned a group representative so I'll be able to talk and get our questions answered. If you have any questions or concerns about the cruise please post them so I can pass them on to the SunCruz staff.

Hi gang, looks like we are fully committed now or should be on your point of view. Made our reservations yesterday, Site #34.

Well, well, well. Wouldn't make sense to drive back to Va Beach from Charleston without stopping at Willow Tree. Our reservations are made for site 40, plan to roll up with the group on the 7th and stay for a week. And as far as gambling on a cruise boat, such things should be outlawed. Thats only because I, we, spend to darn much money in casinos, so "sign us up"!!! We've wasted more in casinos than some people make in a year so we'll have to try making some back, I hope that's a good way to think.

One can't have too much fun can one?

Kevin,

I was reading through the post of those planning to stop at Willow Tree. I noticed that you destination after Willow Tree was in the Chesapeake / VA Beach area. If I might ask a question or two. Right now we are planning on pulling to the Chesapeake area after leaving Willow Tree most likely with an intermediate stop in NC. In the Chesapeake area, are there RV parks you'd recommend we shy away from or any you would highly recommend? I have family in the area, but we have never had our RV with us when visiting. Do you have any impression of the campgrounds in the Williamsburg area? Thanks.

Tom & Millie, We were at Williamsburg for the Virginia Spring Rally and the CG was right outside of Williamsburg and in the middle of everything there is to do there. We stayed at American Heritage RV Park and here is a link to their website. www.americanheritagervpark.com

I am sure some of our VA members can also weigh in on where you can set up camp all along the VA I-95 corridor!

Casino Cruise????

Just got off the phone with Phillip a group coordinator for SunCruz. The group flyer on page one shows and approximate $60.00 savings for going as a group! There is currently no "Senior Day" on the sailing schedule for November. The $25.00 per person Boarding/Buffet/2 Free Drinks/ $5 match Play & $5 Free Play at tables is included in the package as explained in the flyer.

Here's the hitch! We would have to book a specific date and sail on that day! Although the Farmers Alminac says it should be "pleasantly mild" for the week......it can be a questionable time of year to lock ourselves in to a specific day. Additionally, a 50% deposit would have to be forwarded to hold our group reservation. How would y'all like me to proceed here? I am willing to go either direction but I also like the idea of being able to change our sailing date in a moments notice if the weather is bad! Everyone who has an opinion and intended to go on the cruise please post it so I know which way to go here!

Debbie,

If you have to take pot luck and hope for the best on a date, I'm fine with that and please include us in the head count. Just let us know if you need a check for the money ahead of time to confirm the date.

I am creating a map locating everyone's campsite at Willow Tree. Some of you have not posted your site numbers and this makes it difficult to put your name on the map. I would appreciate if everyone would post their site number so I can complete the map and make a confirmation with Willow Tree! Thanks. An email will be going out soon to all those planning to attend!
