Debbie and I also go to Texas for the winter. Couple of questions: Where ya going? When ya going? How long ya going? If there is enough of us perhaps we could caravan on down. But then most folks likely already have itineraries. Some go fast, some go slow.

We go to Aransas Pass Texas, We are leaving the Upper Peninsula on October 25th. Normally we would go through WI but Dan decided that we are going through MI.. We will stay somewhere in MI, the first night.. We are planning on stopping in SPRING, TEXAS FOR A NIGHT OR 2 BEFORE HEADING TO ARANSAS TO SEE JAY AND STELLA COFFMAN.
We are scheduled to arrive sometime around the 1st of November.. When are you planning on leaving??

we will be leaving around the same time. All depends on when DW wants to leave. We typically travel from here to Kokomo, Indiana the first night and stop and stay with Debbie's sister for a couple of days and then head toward Dallas, Tx to visit Debbies brother and his family who all live northeast of Dallas., Rockwall and Mesquite.

However this year we are thinking of taking the Natchez Trace south from Nashville. We will skip her brothers and go up there for Christmas this year. If you have never been down it (the trace), well lets say you are missing something. We came up it from Texas one year after first going to New Orleans in the spring on our return trip home. This year we are thinking of going south on it. The trees should be breathtaking in the fall. http://www.nps.gov/natr/planyourvisit/fall-colors.htm

Everyone is invited to stop by the Rayford Crossing RV Resort where we will be spending most of the winter to visit on your way to the valley. This is one of the premier parks in Texas and you may want to consider this for a future winter stay. We have a very active winter Texan group there with lots of activities.
