2012 Big Country 3650 - hot water tank winterizing

Is there anyone with the same rig who has drained their hot water tank for winterizing?
We removed the outside cover and then removed the plastic bolt at the bottom and there was no Anode Rod. ???
We have always had an Anode Rod in our other rigs so are a little confused with this.
Thanks for any help.

Good question!! We also have the same coach and haven't checked to see how the hot H20 heater drains. Like you said, all of our other coaches have had anode rods which we removed to drain. Will check tomorrow and let ya know.

You might want to see what brand tank you have, Atwood tanks usually don't have anode rods.........Kenny

As per Kenny, Atwood's use a plastic drain plug. It's an aluminum tank, and no anode is required.

joyanthony - just check our 3650 and the hot water heater is an Atwood. There is only a drain that looks like the end of a spikot(spelling?) and no plug for an anode rod. We usually don't winterize till middle of December because the weather stays pretty good here. I know ya'll are getting colder quicker than us so the need may be sooner than later. I haven't checked the Atwood manual to see what it says to do for winterizing. Good luck
