AnnR, funny you should mention sleeping the other way....that was Seat Tech's first suggestion. Still does not remedy the basic problem - very poorly built sofa to put in a unit costing as much as ours did.

I should probably disclose that I moonlight as a Seat Tech engineer! Seriously, I can't believe they told you that! I would be so annoyed to get that as professional technical advice. That's really sad customer service.
