ATF: Greystone - Greystone - Seat Tech Sofa

I bought a Greystone 29MK last March and immediately found that the Seating Technologies sofa that came with the trailer has serious design issues. When it is opened the head end of the bed is 3 inches lower than the foot end. The dealer has tried working with Seat Tech several times and the only change they could recommend ends up tilting the seat forward when it is closed up, making it very uncomfortable for sitting. They are not offering any more help at this point. Do you have any suggestions?

I think I would get HL service involved. Give them a call and discuss the issue with them.

I apologize for the inconvenience. I have taken your concern and forwarded it on to our purchasing and warranty departments. When they reply to me as to how to proceed, I will let you know.

I have the same issue in my 33QS, should I contact Heartland or the maker of the sofa?

Thanks for the quick reply. I looked at the 2012 models and they have a different model of sofa, possibly to address this issue.

We had the same problem, but I looked at legs where the fold out portion rests on the floor, and found a large stack of spacers. So, I removed them to make the bed usable. We have a 2011 Greystone 29MK also.

The difference in height was after the spacers were removed. It was 5 inches before that.

Re: ATF: Greystone - Greystone - Seat Tech Sofa

I had the same issues and Seating Technologies "fix" was to put risers under the legs of the couch to raise it to meet the level of the folded out part. This was nice, except it made setting on the couch very uncomfortable. It is for certain that a furniture designer did not have a had in the original design. We finally gave up and I removed the risers and if we need extra sleeping space, the air mattress goes on the floor. We are looking at completely getting rid of the monster and putting in a more useful piece of furniture. (See my other posts on this problem)

Good morning. My dealer and I have been waiting for a response from Heartland warranty on this same sofa issue. Please let me know what you all have learned on the issue since posting several months ago.

    Thank you.

Probably too late for me, but would like to know what Seat Tech comes up with. From what I can tell it was not a furniture designer/engineer that put this thing together.
