Who else has a Big Horn 3685?

Just wondering how many others have a 3685 RL. Questioning how you like it, if you've had any problems, your likes and dislikes about it. We've installed a hitch receiver so far to haul our bicycles. We have dual pane glass, gel coat, G14 tires and twin air. So far, we're pleased.

How are you handling the satellite receiver situation? Doesn't it have to go behind the wooden door? Are you leaving the door open when you use the TV? Is the shelf big enough to hold the receiver?

We have had ours for about three weeks and are very pleased with it. It has been out once and back to the dealer for the normal minor repairs and corrections. The only modifications we are doing is to add vent covers, a solar panel for trickle charging the batteries and a bar for the screen door to make it easier to close. We will be adding pattern material for the entry door window. Tis is a film you can get at Home Depot in different patterns that will give a stained glass look without the cost or weight of stained glass. Did this on our last rig and really liked it.

We love our 3685! We used the front storage area to transport our bikes. Took the front wheels off and strapped them in- worked great! Only design flaw we have noticed is that the cabinet made for the satellite receiver is too small. We have to use a small foot stool to set the receiver on next to the cabinet.
Also, some tips we have found we enjoy are to use the control panel closet as a food pantry. Makes for great access during travel and we re-arranged furniture when we reached our destination so that the recliners are facing the tv. Makes for awsome tv viewing and comfort!
Hope you enjoy your 3685 as much as we do!

I tried to find an extra small receiver thru DISH with no success. Plus, the wooden door is an issue for the remote. The heck with that! Moved it to the upper cabinet intended for a satellite receiver- at least the current rigs on the line are wired that way. We missed out!

This is what I did:

From the original cabinet, run the cable behind the tv to a hole drilled in counter top just under the lambrequin (to the right of TV). feed the cable behind the window treatment and drill another hole in the bottom of upper cabinet for the cable.
The electric outlet under this cabinet can be accessed thru the top with a jig saw or similar. I covered the original outlet with a solid cover.

Back to the original post.
We do like our 3685's layout with the large frig and big shower. We have had some minor but aggravating issues that were overlooked by quality control. Customer service has been helpful as always. Our '08 3055 has been a great unit- the reason we bought the 3685.
