Changing Out G4 Bulb

One of my G4 20 watt halogen bulbs went out. Purchased a replacement one from Home Depot. The bulb is identical as the old one. I am having a problem getting the new pins on the replacement bulb to seat in the fixture. Is there any trick to seating the bulb in the fixture?

I don't believe you are suppose to touch the glass so skin oil doesn't casue a problem, but, I just used a small piece of cloth to hold the bulb and when both prongs are in the hole, press firmly and they will go in....
