Route suggestions. Gerry & I will be attending the MO rally, and from Branson we are heading to FL. I would like to know what would be the best route from Branson to the best roads heading south east to FL. We have the 3875FB Big Horn and it is 42 feet long. Thus, small curvy and hilly roads may be an issue. You may email any suggestions to me at tank67tommy@gmail.com. Thank you for the help, and we will see you at the MO rally. Tom

We live in Shell Knob, Mo., about 30 miles west of Branson. When we traveled to Orlando, Fl. we went straight down 65, picked up 20 and overnighted at the Ameristar Casino in Vicksburg, then 49 to 98, to 10, then stopped at Defuniak Springs, then 75 on into Orlando. Or you can go south on 65, east on 62 in Harrison, east on 63, 55 south to 240 around the south side of Memphis to 78, to 231, to 10. The 62 route I use often to go to my dad's in Decatur Al., it is good road and has slowly grown into new 4 lane almost all the way.

Guidelines for the White Elephant gift exchange. This will be a fun activity and if you wish to "re-gift" something you are welcome to do so. Suggested range would be no more than $10-15.

We would like to update our registration information for the rally. My mother, Mabel, is very active lady who has been RVing since the 1960's and will be attending the rally with Betty and me. Is there any additional cost for the rally itself? FYI our arrival date is Thursday, Sept 26 and we are leaving Monday, Sept 30. Thanks for your work in putting this together. Jim Posz

Please feel free to bring your mother to the Rally. No additional cost for the Rally. Check with the campground when you register, not sure about their pricing.

I used to live in Viola, my Dad and I had a small cabinet shop from 1969 to around 1972. We'll see ya at the rally, be interesting to hear how things have changed.

FYI, we will be arriving on the 23rd instead of the 25th.

Has anyone been to Devils Den State Park in Arkansas? We were thinking of stopping there on the way from Texas. The info said the road was not good for a trailer longer than 26ft. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks,

FYI:

Special Notice
8/12/2013
Lake Devil, the eight-acre lake in the heart of Devil's Den State Park, is currently without water while work is underway to perform repairs on the 1930s CCC rock dam that forms the lake. As a result, the park's pedal boats and canoes are currently not available for rent.

Thanks, Dan! That's not good since Dave was wanting to fish! We'll have to find somewhere else.

There are two roads into Devils Den. If I remember correctly, the first one you come to from the south is the bad one, not recommended for trailers. You want the second exit from the south.

You need to come in from the south, the road to the east is very steep with a couple of tight switch backs.

We are hopefully going to be Heartland owners sometime soon. I was wondering if we could stop by the rally and talk to some owners, and maybe get some tours of your rigs? We don't want to impose on the "party", but would like some feedback directly from owners. We are looking at Landmark Key Largo or maybe the new Savannah.

I think that would be fine. I think there will be some Landmarks there.
