Crack and delam at corner of bedroom slide

Hi,

I have an '08 3400RL with VIN 5SFGF34208E010596, the bottom right corner has cracked and delamination started. I covered it with some Eternabond tape to prevent further deterioration, but am wondering why this happened and what steps are necessary, if they are necessary, to repair this.

They don't think it's a frame issue that caused the crack, so I guess I'm SOL.
