Finally pulled the trigger!

After a few years of looking and wishing and hoping, we were finally able to pull the trigger and jump in with all four feet (mine and hers :))! We recently purchased our new 5'er (2013 BH 3570RS) and TV (2013 F350) after trading in our 2006 Trail Cruiser 30' TT and 2006 Honda Ridgeline which had served us very well.

We started out seriously considering the Montana models, but were introduced to the Heartland brand while staying at the Lazydays RV park in March 2011. We just happened upon some very happy HL campers attending the 1st annual FL rally who showed us the benefits of owning a Heartland over the SOB's and gradually became convinced they were right! We had a very pleasant purchasing experience at Lazydays in Tampa, FL after having visited them at the RV Super Show in January. We also felt the other major factor for chosing the HL brand, is the fantastic group of folks who make up this forum and graciously open up both arms and welcome you into their "family" of fellow Heartlanders.

We've already joined the club and are anxiously looking forward to attending as many rallies as we can in the future (we're not completely retired yet, so we still can't brake away as much as we would like to ). We plan to attend the upcoming FL rally in Williston if we can still get a spot. We also hope to start actively participating in the forum now that we're actual HL owners!

Thanks for all of the info I've gleaned the past few years from this forum to help us make the right purchase - hopefully we can offer our 2 cents as we get more proficient in this for any future members just starting out like we are.

HI Glenn and Jackie,

Welcome to the Heartland Family and Club.

I'm sure that since you have been lurking around on the forum you have seen a lot of the good times and things that happen on the forum and at rallies. Also as you have seen we don't hide the bad things either. The Heartland family is here to help in any way they can.

So when you go for delivery please do a really good PDI. And even thou you have had an RV before, make sure your new one is hooked up to water and electric and everything works, for shower to sinks to draining the tanks. Make sure you can operate all appliances and that they all work. Try to stay at the dealer or close by for a day or two so you can get anything you find repaired or adjusted.

Then get out and go camping and join us at a rally as soon as you can.

Enjoy the forum and your new Big Horn.

Welcome to the Heartland family! Not a better company or group of owners ANYWHERE!!! Enjoy your new Bighorn....loved our '08 and now our 2013 Landmark. You will find many owners who have owned several Heartlands, and that speaks volumes.

Congratulations on your new "condo on wheels" and welcome to the club. The Florida rally is a great place to start your Heartland experience but if your schedule will let you, take a week off to go to the North American Heartland Rally in Goshen, IN. It's a great, fun adventure all to itself. Enjoy and travel safely.

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Club Family Glenn and Jackie (Eddie too)! I know you will love the HOC and find so much great information and help here on the Forum! There is so much knowledge and experience here that you will be amazed at the support you get when you post something here. In addition there are so many great and inovative ideas for modifications and cool "tweeks" to make your RV experience nicer and better. Happy RVing!
