Genesis DVD/CD/radio and Toshiba TV

When we play a DVD it's not in color. We have a portable DVD player to another toshiba tv and it's the same thing. That leads me to believe it's the tv and not the dvd players. Any sugesstions.

I had the same issue. The TV AV input needs to be configured for video instead of color streaming. Go to the tv menu then to preference and make sure the av input is set to video.

If the connection is via RCA Phono type AV connectors, make sure you're plugged into Video In, not to the component Color Streaming.

What exactly was the fix? We might want to see that added to a troubleshooting guide but need to know what the fix was:
- Loose connection
- Connected to wrong port
- Menu selection was wrong
