Hello all! We are new to the site and are tickled to have found you. If the RV dealer cannot answer your new owner questions...

1. Next to the front landing gear switch is a toggle. What is its purpose?
2. Located inside to the immediate right are two electrical on/off switches. One turns on the step lights and the second?
3. The slide out and holding tank panel has Two red lit on/off switches. The first is included with the main power and tank status cluster (I am assuming is the water heater main switch). The second is to the immediate right and is a stand alone...can it possibly be an 'electrical' water heater switch? If not what is its purpose?

We are brand spanking new grandparents and when not flying our GA aircraft to Tx. For visits to our granddaughters,, we are toten an RV down to visit them. We wanted to trade up..hence the Sundance. No specific owner manuals were available at purchase. A bit odd-as we kept all of our upgrades and original manuals in our previous RV...thought it was the norm?

Hope someone here can advise

Hi John and Robin,

Welcome to the Heartland Owners Forum and to the family. We have a great bunch of folks here with lots of information and all willing to share their knowledge when needed.

The switch near the landing gear switch I don't know. The two electrical where one turns on the step switch... the other may turn on a light inside near the door.. or could be for the electrical outlet outside to control awning/outside lights.
The holding tank panel should have a "test" for levels... a "heater" for water heater on propane,,,, and "pump" for the water pump. If you have another switch,, like regular light switch, but with red handle, it should be for electric side of water heater.

We have a great area of manuals,,,both factory and user compiled, that are really good.

Glad you found us and join us at a rally when you can.

Hi Callaboo,

Here's a picture of our control setup. The rocker switches on the bottom left control panel are (from left to right): test/water pump/water heater LP. Notice over toward the right that the water heater 110V switch is an illuminated wall switch.
Control Panel Annotated.jpg

On our Landmark, the two rocker switches on the stairs are to operate the interior stairway light(s) and also the exterior step light.

We have a 2007 Sundance 3300SK. I don't know if your model is the same, but inside the little cabinet cover are the control panel with test, pump and (gas) water heater switches. There are three 12 volt rocker switches in a cluster for the porch light, main room lights and security (scare) lights. The two household type light switches are one with a red handle for the (120 volt) water heater and a white switch to control the outside outlet located next to the front of the awning. Hope this helps. Jim
