slide seal replacement

I am replacing the bottom seal on kitchen slide. The seal is EK seal it is the wiper seal with a track for D bulb seal and I am replacing both . Has anyone done this? On the wiper seal there is an adhesive strip and a lip on one side. On old seal the lip had kept the adhesive strip from sealing. It looks like the lip is meant to position seal along an edge but was installed below edge of floor. Moving seal up to get lip on floor is not an option due to rollers . I was thinking of trimming lip to get seal to be flat against surface so adhesive will work. This is new for me so might be over thinking it.
