Mod #2. Big Country 3596RE Bed raised at headboard and linoleum on bed platform

Since i had an adjustable bed in the sticks and bricks, we were very used to the head of the bed being raised about 6 inches. So when we took delivery, i set out to put in a lightweight permanent raise in the mattress.

I wend to home depot and purchased a 'laundry' type shelf 20" variety. I then figured the angle for a 2x6 and cut that for the head. Then going about halfway, i cut a 2x4 to fit under the middle. Screw everything down and you have a firm, solid support with just the right rise in the head to handle any reflux and/or snoring issues,

While i was at it, i purchased a roll of very lightweight linoleum and using adhesive, glued it down. The roll linoleum is much lighter than the square stick down tiles and can be easily cut to fit. Now no torn sheets or bed on the rough OSB...

We did finish the complete platform, but that is not shown in the pics to show difference in covered and 'as purchased'..
