What did you do to your camper today?

Today I finally finished hand rubbing my cabinets and trim.
I do this once a year and it's really worth it. Olde English! To the rescue.

Yesterday I removed the ugliest brown light fixture and ceiling fan. Today I am refinishing them with a nickel finish. While removing the blades I noticed that the blades were swollen (taking on moisture)so a little sanding and a new black finish and clear coat. Although not completely done here's a peek.

I finished the refinishing of the brown ceiling fan. It use to be the same color and finish as the decorative assembly above the sink. Once I figure out how to remove that fixture I'll refinish it as well.
Then today I flushed the hot water heater and cleaned up the heating element. I also put distilled vinegar in the bottom of the hot water heater to break up the debris left inside. This will break up the calcification and turn it into a liquid and then I can complete the flush.

Ordered new water filters and installed behind the UDC and permanently installed the water softener. Installed so that it can be regenerated in place.

Then I replaced the D-seals around one slide and the sweep and D-seal under the slide. This is the one that fell off while on our cross country trip.

I change out the outside faucet hose to make it usable.

It looks really nice, and worth the effort. But when looking at the pictures of the louvered doors, in the upper left corner it looks like a creepy face looking thru the louvers. LOL, better check to see who's in your closet.

Received my warranty upgrade kit for my Fantastic Fan yesterday, so today during a Texas sleet storm I installed it.

Unfortunately, I get so into my jobs that I fail to stop and document it with pictures...duhh!

Install went smooth and instructions were right on. The model in my coach was a 5300 with a wall control. The upgrade was to a 7300 with a remote control.

My wife is shorter than me and always complains about the shower head height/angle.

We tried the suction cup mount and that would just always fall off. I didn't want to screw/drill into the shower cabinet (a previous owner already had but that bracket broke).

Went to Walmart and picked up a shower mount for $6.32 and added it inline where the handheld hose connects.

I use the original position and she uses the new mount.

Installed EMS-HW50C, Victron BMV0712, replaced all slam latches with the same key as door, and replaced the vacuum breaker on the main toilet (failed first trip out) in our new coach. As you can see in the second picture it is a good thing I added the EMS.
