ATF: Landmark - illuminated name sign

Thanks for the new complimentary name sign. It's very nice but it doesn't sit flush to the side of the trailer. The usb plug makes it protrude when plugged in. I tried the 90 degree adapter I found with the manuals given but makes no improvement. Is this normal? Attached is a pic. Update. After no response from factory in reasonable wait time, I made my own low profile usb plug to fix the obvious engineering flaw.
