Trying to find an 80 amp / 12 volt auto reset breaker for my level up system.
Replaced the original breaker with a "Camco" 50amp about a month ago and starting to have issues again.
Any suggestions?

Thanks
Bret

Hi Bret,

Make sure you have clean, tight connections at the battery terminals and check water level in the cells.

Also check the connections at the hydraulic pump to make sure they're tight.

If you have a meter handy, flip the battery cutoff to OFF and take a voltage reading on the battery. If below 12.5 V, you may have a battery problem.

Put 2- 50's in parallel, may solve your problem or it may be the level-up brain. If its cold out or if it has to do a lot of adjustment mine will shut off.

Will do Dan, I do get a low voltage message , but when I check it's 12.7 volts.
The breaker trips when pulling in the slides and retracting the level up.
Will check it out tomorrow.
Thanks

The low voltage message is important. If I remember electrical basics correctly, as voltage goes down, amperage goes up, so if the voltage is low, you may be pulling more than 50 amps.

Also, when taking a voltage reading right after removing the charge source, you may get a high residual reading that drops over the next 20 minutes. When you check tomorrow, let it sit for a while after flipping the cutoff switch.

If you've got an auto parts store nearby, or Walmart with auto center, they'll have battery test equipment that can check out the battery.

Hi amperage also will load the motor and may cause motor failure in the future.
It's like a starter with a bad battery system.

I found one at a solar power parts supply online. Or try an automotive audio supplier.
