Bought my first heartland rv

Hello everyone I just bought a elkridge fifth wheel yesterday. I traded my excel 35' for the elkridge 29' and it's 3,800 lbs lighter. From the dealer to my place I could really see a big difference in how it pulled. It is definitely smaller and not as light inside as we gave up lots of windows but I think I will like it more for camping. I don't ever plan on going full time in a RV but looking forward to the camping aspect. It is really clean and so far everything checks out ok so wish us luck. Buy the way it's a 2011

PS does anybody know where and how to get to the water pump and the furnace I don't see any access points or doors or whatever ,

Congrats! Welcome to the forum and maybe to the club if it sounds like something you would be interested in. I'm the chapter leader for OR and ID. Feel free to ask any questions you would like of anyone. We are a pretty friendly bunch most of the time.

Oregon has a rally July 24-26 at the Mill Casino and RV Park outside Coos Bay at North Bend. You can get all the info you need under the Events tab at the top of the page or send me a message and I can fill you in on whatever you would like to know.

​ Congrats on the Elk-ridge! 2011's were built better. I have a 2011 Greystone and we love it. It is a 29' also and pulls really well. Had a 2003 30' Alfa before that and this is MUCH lighter and easier to pull. Good luck and remember to enjoy and be safe out there!!

We also have a 2011 Elk Ridge, the 27RLSS, and love it! One of the things we really like is that it's just the right size to get into the state parks with no problem. Welcome to the Forum, and consider joining the club!

What are you towing with...we have the Elkridge 29 2011 Love it but not the tow truck we were talked into buying... RAM 2500 SLT Crew cab long box 6.4 V* gas hog...7 mpg towing best we can do. Lots of bells and whistles but fuel cost are out of sight.

I have a 2003 GMC 3/4 ton Duramax diesel , I have only pulled it 10 miles so far just got it last week. Pulling it 30 miles this morning to get some new maxxis tires so that I won't have to worry about them.
