First this site is fantastic. We will be picking up our 2010 Edge m18 on the 27th of July, spend an overnight at the Dealer to test everything and get some added extras which will be: Husky In Line Hitch System, Electric Tongue Jack, Swing out gab handle and a Slide Topper. Will then make the trip home and start to get her packed of for RV'ing when the temps drop a bit here as we have a Golden and the excessive heat we are having is not much fun for her OR us. We will be towing with a 2015 Lexus GX460 with the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller.

We are looking to learn lost from all the expertise here on the Edge Site. We have had A's B's and TT in the past.

Welcome to the Heartland Family!! Congratulations on your new Edge! Make sure you do a very thorough PDI (Pre Deliver Inspection) working each and every component, appliance and working part on your rig before you leave the lot. Staying at the dealer is a great choice that way if you find anything that is not working properly or needs to be repaired or adjusted you are right there for them to take care of it.

Don't hesitate to ask questions and advice from the members here on the forum. As the others said, there is a wealth of knowledge on here and everyone is willing and eager to help out.

Rod Thanks for the welcome: We researched the dealer Dalton Rv of Dalton GA and they have fantastic positive reviews. We sent the person we are dealing with ( the Sales Mgr) the concerns about the wheel wells. He called us back and said he went out and crawled under the unit and there was expanding foam spray and sealant by the wells and all soreness the underbelly. He also said he inspected behind the couch and kitchen area and foam there and no sign of any water damage. We felt with them a few months back on a B unit and had an issue with the Gen and they just about rebuilt it but after signing all the loan docs etc we went out and found a problem with the Gen. We said we did not want to take the unit. They said ok if we were not happy they would tear up the paperwork which they did. I am sure that does not happen often. They are great people and we look forward to a good walk thru on Monday. They have an extensive list of what they go thru and also have a 30 warranty.
Thanks again for you welcome and "words of wisdom"

John and Kris,

That's great! There are a lot of stories of poor dealership service and customer service so it's nice to hear a positive story. Hopefully the forum members in your area read this so they know which place in your area is the "place to go".
