I have a nephew at White Sands and been there many times, but always on base, so not aware of the RV Resorts in that area.
I do like the Ruidoso area but again, not familiar with RV Resorts there. The big problem is just finding a venue that everyone will like and want to attend.

Very true, I have stayed in Alamogordo while hunting Oryx but the mountain areas might be better for a rally, even though it might be a little windy.

A neat trip we did one spring was to Ruidoso. One day we did the Museum of the Horse. Another, we drove to White Sands. another we drove to Valley of Fires (ancient lava field). We missed seeing the petroglyphs in the area. We also went out to Ft. Davis. One day to Cloudcroft. Not to mention lots of good food, Indian culture, golf, shopping, casinos, and entertainment. You are a wealth of information! Thanks for your comments.
Since you are now retired from the newsletter, perhaps you can write a travel book!

Lol, not sure about that. I just know I'm "supposed" to be living in the mountains, but we are stuck in hot flat Texas until Tony can retire. So we visit when we can, summer or winter. ;)

Bonita Lake if it ever comes back from the devastating fire of a few years back is another nice place near Ruidoso ...

Hey everyone, I have confirmed the New Mexico Rally for May 2016 with American RV Resort in Albuquerque.
I will be posting the Rally on the Rally list within a couple of days. I am still on the road site inspecting for our Regional Rally and then up to the Colo Rally. I was very impressed with the RV Resort and their staff. I was able to get us a really great deal and details will be explained on the Rally posting.
