I believe it is similar to process using a Zep brand floor finish. I tried that on my Big Country end cap which was severely faded. It looked better than new...then it started to flake and come off several months later. It was difficult to get it all off before I had it painted. I have heard of people using Poly Glow and they have been thrilled with the results. I don't know how it holds up in the long run. I would think in your case you might get a longer lasting finish with a buffer and some automotive polish...Don
