You call Famous Dave's BBQ?!!! I class them with McDonalds! Can't find them much anymore, but I used to judge a new BBQ place by the smell outside...hickory smoke, and by the floor when you walked in--if you felt like you were walking on ice when you went through the door, 9 times out of 10 that was an EXCELLENT BBQ joint!!! I can name several off the top of my head that unless you live in KC, you'd never have heard of them!

Along that line, Andy, I guess you call Pop Eye's Louisiana cooking?;)

Dang Roy i ain't the one that said it was good. I called it a chain. Lol. And yes while I like Popeyes over kfc it don't represent Louisiana cooking. Lol. Btw I didn't get this big eating bad food. Lol

I can relate to the bad food comment, Andy! Bad food, bad books, bad people...all in the same category, avoid them at all costs!!! I have a tendency to indulge in all the above, usually in excess!!!

Hi Larry, just thought I'd let you know we just made reservations for the rally. As we live so close, we decided not to arrive early, or leave late, but will probably drive up for the pre-rally.

Larry & Gayle,

Checked the calendar and this won't work for us. Connie has a treatment on the 31st and she'll need a week before she can travel.

Well, looks like we are going to try to attend this rally! I have left a message with the park, all lines were "busy".

Arriving June 2, Departing June 6.

Tony and I are looking forward to this!

Roy, you will have quite the challenge to prove KC BBQ is better than TX BBQ, especially with all the Texans coming!

--- UPDATE ---

Park called, we are in! I forgot to ask what site, though.

Erika, being a youngster, you've probably never heard of Alfred E. Newman (of Mad Magazine fame). His famous quote was "What Me Worry"? No sweat, and our baked beans don't taste like chili like they do down your way! :)

Oops, I might have jumped the gun on this one. I checked with Peggy and we may have a grandma/grand daughter conflict during that period. Peggy has taken three of our grandchildren to Washington D.C. around their tenth birthday so they could personally witness the unbelievable dysfunction of our so-called government leaders and bodies. She reminded me that this year is our youngest grand daughter's turn to go as soon she gets out of school so this will take priority. Unfortunately San Angelo schools get out May 27th so they will probably be traveling to D.C. the week of your rally. We really hate to miss the rally and if the conflict gets resolved (different trip dates) we will be there.

In retrospect, I guess I should have said "If Jay goes, we try to go."

Peggy doesn't trust our current administration to keep her and our granddaughter safe in the D.C. area so she canceled her trip. Therefore, please put us back on the list. Thanks.

We will be there, but I'm not sure of the dates yet, but will know before the end of the week.

This is good, looks like more people are signing up for the MO rally! There is a lot to see & do in the area, if you get bored it'll be your own fault! If I can figure out how to put it on here without taking up a lot of room, and Larry & Gayle don't mind I'll put a list of some of the things to see & do in the area.

To all who have signed up for MO Rally--Thank you. I would like to respond individually but need some education on who do use this mail system. A big thank you to Roy and Sally who taking the lead in finding all kinds of interesting things to see and do in the area. Please go ahead and post those things as we can't figure out how to do. I am hopeful to get some help at the Regional Rally so can be better at this. Not even sure where this will post.
