ATF: Landmark - a/c replacement

What make and model are you using now and or recommend as a roof top replacement on a 2015 Newport other than the original make and model ? 15,000 btu unit compatible with original install mount and hole and electric hookup. Original a/c failing too often.

Before you replace it on your dime. Call HL service with your VIN# handy. There were some A/C units that had a recall Technical Service Bulletin on them for failures.

Recent builds, probably newer than a 2015, have a different A/C unit and there is a Technical Service Bulletin relating to installation.

On earlier Dometic A/C units, including the ones likely in your 2015, there have been a number of failures related to Dometic moving manufacturing to China.

You might want to call Dometic to see if they have established any special programs to deal with the manufacturing issue. But if your current unit is working, they may tell you that it'll be ok.

You should check with Heatland but if you have a Dometic 15k they have a 2 year warranty from the manufacturer. I'm on the 5th replacement on my 15 Gateway.
