question on hot water tank location / access of 3000CK

Hi folks,

Looking a purchasing the new 3100CK which is replacing the 3000CK. Wonder if a current 3000CK owner can tell me a few thinks about the hot water tank. Where is it located? Does it come with a bypass? How accessible is it?
