Canadian Owners - Take Note

We came back from our trip to the Grand Canyon and Canadian Customs decided to check us out. We had to pull into a Building and the first thing the officer asked us was to see the Registration and the Bill of Sale for the 5th. We always keep our registration with us but have never kept a Bill of Sale or a copy. This appears to be something new. The officer said we should also carry a copy of the Bill of Sale for the truck as well, this also applies to a car if you happen to be travelling into the States without your unit. They let us go but as soon as we got home copies of everything were made a put in the vehicles. Apparantly, stickers suxk as the CSA and dealer decals can be forged.

Never has a problem with just the Regigtration last year coming back from the Rally in Goshen.../Doug

When we went down and back - both customs asked for Reg.& Insurance. I'm wondering if people think they can buy across the border and not claim new trucks or Rvs. We had to go inside to pay duty on some extra purchases - lots of people paying for boats and other things. Stood in line for a while.

That is a new one. We have been asked where we bought our units and when. Even with our old unit that was 10 years old. We have neber been asked for the Bill of sale though. I guess we will have to carry one now.
