I would not use the OEM shocks because they don't perform as a shock absorber at all...a toddler can compress them. Monroes (555001) blow out, but so far Bilsteins have held up greatl and the 5er seems to ride very well. What is the number of a replacement shock absorber for my 2011 3250TS?

I installed Crysler front shocks for 80s rear wheel drive cars. They were stock at local auto supply store. They are gas shocks with the right lenght and arrangement.
